Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability (2025 Redbirds)

The parent and/or guardian completing this represents that he/she consents to his/her child or ward’s participation in the SA Redbirds youth baseball program, represents that he/she is a legal parent or legal guardian for the youth participant and agrees individually and on behalf of the child/ward, spouse and/or other parent, to the terms set forth below. The participant and his/her parent/guardian assume all risks of participating in baseball, including risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault. The participant certifies that he/she is physically fit and has not been advised to not participate by a medical professional. The participant certifies that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude his/her participation in baseball. In consideration of participation in the SA Redbirds youth baseball program, I hereby take the following action for myself, my spouse (if any), my child's other parent/guardian, my child/ward, my executors, administrators, heirs, successors, and assigns as follows: (A) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for death, disability, illness, personal injury, or actions of any kind which may occur in connection with the SA Redbirds youth baseball program, including practices, games, and any other activity related to the baseball program, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: SA Redbirds, its agents, coaches, officers and directors, employees, representatives or volunteers, and Alamo Heights Little League, its agents, officers and directors, employees, or representatives (collectively, “the Releasees”). (B) I INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the Releasees from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in the SA Redbirds youth baseball program, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. I acknowledge that participation in baseball may carry with it the potential for death, serious injury including concussion or head injury, and personal loss. The risks may include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, lack of hydration, condition of participants, equipment, actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, spectators, and coaches.
